Controlling odour of water is one the challenging situation of wastewater treatment, which is the process of removing contaminants for quality and safe drinking water. Source of taste and odor issues can be detected in surface water and groundwater that can be polluted by many contaminants such as gasoline and industrial solvents. To clean water of these chemicals for water reuse is the main advantage of wastewater treatment, due to the limited amount of drinkable water on the earth. Although, nature slowly cleans wastewater over a long time, technology can speed up this process. For example, wastewater evaporation is a method of eliminating chemicals from the polluted water by boiling the contaminated water to clean water vapour and smaller amount of polluted water. Another form of wastewater treatment is oxidation. In this method with adding Potassium, Ozone and Chlorine to wastewater, the taste and odor can be controlled. In conclusion, to treat wastewater and for odor control various treatments can be done including evaporation and oxidation.
